September 2019 Haylofter Happenings
HAYLOFT HAPPENINGS
Hello theater fans,
Can you believe it’s already August? Our summer has flown by. Our Spring and Summer productions are completed. Thank you to everyone who came to see “Nana’s Naughty Knickers” and “Mamma Mia!”.
Our Young Haylofters opened “School House Rock Live! Jr.” this weekend. Next weekend is the last weekend for your chance to see this fun production. You don’t want to miss this show. Tickets are only $8.
What is coming to the theater next you ask?
“Nevermore – The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe“
Directed by Megan Schroeder, This unique and wildly theatrical musical combines haunting music and poetic storytelling to chronicle the fascinating life of iconic American writer Edgar Allan Poe. A literary rock star of his day, Poe struggles with tragedy and addiction, poverty and loss, yet produces some of the world’s most original, visionary and enduring literature before dying in unexplained circumstances at the age of 40. At once gorgeous and grotesque, Nevermore explores the events that shape Poe’s character and career, blurring the line between fact and fiction–after all, as Poe himself writes, “All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.”
Performance Dates:
October 10th – 12th & 17th – 19th at 7:30 pm
October 13th & 20th at 2:00 pm
“O’ Little Town of Burlington”

Performance Dates:
December 6th -8th at 7:00 pm
We have been very busy at the theater. We have been renovating the restrooms and we added a room in the basement of the theater for the new home for the costumes. We will need volunteers to help us with the process of moving and organizing costumes. We will announce the dates of this event if you are interested in volunteering.
Our fundraising committee will be meeting next month for our annual event on September 11th at 6:30pm at the Malt House Theater. Our 3rd annual fundraiser, Grand Masq Ball, will be held on Friday, March 6th. Save the date for this fun event. Details to come soon. If you are interested in helping out with this event please contact Kris at fundraising@thehaylofters.com.
We are also looking for someone to help with our community outreach committee. Please contact Corina at publicity@thehaylofters.com if you are interested or want to learn more about this committee.
