Tis the Season…
Happy Holidays! No matter what your traditions entail, the Haylofters family wishes you and yours the best during this holiday season. We hope you are able to spend some time together with loved ones, even if it’s only through a computer or phone. We have created a Christmas concert that we will be posting on our website and sharing via Facebook, so be sure to check it out!
Annual Meeting (& Holiday Party?)
As many of our long-time members can tell you, the end of the year always means a holiday party and annual meeting. Keeping with the requirements of our by-laws, all members are called together for our annual meeting to discuss the previous year and the year to come. We also do the important part of electing new board members for the next 3 years. (More on that below).
As with everything this year we will be doing our annual meeting slightly differently. Instead of doing our annual meeting and party at the Malt House Theatre, we will be doing a virtual meeting. Even though we won’t be able to give each other hugs or clink our glasses together in good cheer, we still will be able to reminisce with each other, tell stories, and get caught up. We invite all of you, members and friends, to this meeting. We will spend about 20 minutes doing the formal stuff and then maybe we can do a sing along or play a game. We can even all have a drink together and cheer away this crazy year.
To join this meeting virtually, click the link below. If you aren’t at a computer or smart phone but still want to listen in, simply call the number below.

Board Elections
As previously mentioned, this is the time of year that we fill three open spots on our nine-member board. Each board member carries a three-year term. This year’s nominees are Randy Tritz, Pamela Schroeder, Suzanne Henkel Deans, and James Hauser. Attached is a bio for each individual. We also allow nominations from the floor at the meeting. Randy and Pamela were on our board for the past term and they are up for re-election. Many thanks to Corina Kretschmer for serving on our board the past couple of terms. Even though she isn’t going to run for re-election, she vows to not be a stranger and continue to help.
Only paid members are allowed to vote in this year’s election. The good news is: it isn’t too late to join this great group! You can still sign up now to vote in this year’s election. Membership is only $15 per individual or $20 per family. As an added bonus, you will receive $2.00 off one ticket (individual) or two tickets (family) per show for our upcoming season. If you are interested in joining, please fill out the attached form and email it back to me so I can make sure you get a copy of the ballot. You can either pay via the donation link on our website or send a check to the address on the form.
Since we had such a crazy year and weren’t able to do any paid performances, the board has voted and approved that all current memberships will be carried over to the 2021 season. All paid members will receive an email with a ballot at the conclusion of our annual meeting. All ballots need to be returned via email to vicepresident@thehaylofters.com by 12/27/20 to be counted. More information will be included in that email.
We hope you can make it to our annual meeting and if you can’t please have a safe and blessed holiday season. Thanks,
Matt BienemanVice PresidentThe Haylofters, Inc.
